Both of those kernels I have used on a Obarun-cousin and I have found no issues, although the cousin uses networkmanager.
With Obarun lately when I boot on -zen in most cases I do not get eth0 to activate.
With ifconfig I only get lo, nothing else.
When I boot with -ck it is all working fine, before I startX it is all good.
In the beginning I hadn't related the kernel version with the problem, and rebooted. When I noticed it I did repeated boots to confirm.
I also get this other problem when I startX and go to openbox with -zen I get a lower resolution. I adjust it back to UHD and works fine for the session. With -ck I get the right resolution all the time.
